“I was facing some financial challenges. My problems started six years ago. I was basically forced to retire because my Doctor would not give me a return to work due to my health issues. As a result I fell behind in all my payments and subsequently three years ago filed a consumer proposal. Things were going fairly well, my husband and I started doing some driving for First Choice to earn a little extra money and life was good. That is until my husband became critically ill two years ago and subsequently passed away in July, 2021. With his health we were no longer able to do any work and also had so many additional expenses because of his health issues - he was on a feeding tube, was incontinent and basically bedridden for two years. Being in a consumer proposal you are essentially the same as a bankrupt so no one will lend you any money. I initially applied with the Amansad Direct Lending Group last spring but was turned down. I was disappointed but then a month ago I reapplied and was approved much to my relief. This would not be a good idea for anyone with good credit but certainly helps those of us without. My loan is for a two year term at which point my consumer proposal will be almost complete and my mortgage will be up for renewal. I should be able to include this loan with my mortgage when I renew my mortgage. In the meantime, this loan allows me to catch up and keep up all of my payments so has provided me with real relief. “Last year when confronted with the foreclosure we were in total disarray. Our daughter checked into foreclosure information on the Internet and found useful information on the Amansad website. I checked it out and made an application in which Daniel Akowuah answered with a second mortgage proposal that paid out our second and third mortgage. A good offer but we were not able to satisfy the requirements to qualify in the spring of last year. Later in 2018 we were able to sell a property that we owned allowing us to catch up financially and allowed us to be able to pay our accountant in the completion of our 2016 tax returns. We made application again in late February this year with a Redemption Date of March 11, 2019 on the foreclosure on our third mortgage. Daniel quickly responded with a first mortgage proposal that would payout our 1st, 2nd & 3rd mortgage which later also paid off a writ on our title. We then proceeded and Daniel provided a very clear list of Initial Document Requirements. We gathered the information and provided the documents via email. We had not yet completed our 2017 tax returns so we provided financial income information. Daniel kept in close contact via emails, texts and telephone. Daniel obtained an Appraiser and a satisfactory Appraisal allowed us to complete. On Friday March 8, 2019 we signed the legal documents.”
